Aukje Willume Kapteyn, Founder and Director of Miksau Retreat.
Aukje's path is dedicated to spiritual wholeness and oneness with all (free of religious affiliation). She believes life is both teacher and friend. Aukje is a woman deeply connected to nature and is currently learning to practice harmony with nature in gardening, and living side by side with widllife and the preservation of the lakeshore, the woods and muskegs of the land that is part of Miksau. Her own calling to found and establish Miksau comes from a life long dream but even more so, as she says: "It comes from a full and rich life. My children are well-launched. I am privileged now to enjoy grandchildren. I enjoy deep, intimate, honest, playful, challenging friendships with men and women. Miksau springs forth from a cup that is full and spilling over. From the richness of my life, I share with all who look for richness in the invisible yet palpable joys of life. It is out of gratitude that I open this space for companions of the journey. May you find peace and joy within as you explore and allow Miksau's beauty to reflect the beauty of your inner landscape. "
